Making Meaning with myPerspectives: Providing Essential Access to Grade-Level Text

When we invite students to investigate the levels of meaning/purpose, structure, and language within a text, we help them access the text and use it to understand themselves and the world around them.
As you navigate this course, you will practice using the questions and tasks included with the Making Meaning section of each myPerspectivesTM text selection. We analyze these experiences, determining how they scaffold the reading of grade-level complex text and help all students meet grade-level standards. Building upon prior learning, we identify, practice, and reflect upon facilitation moves that enhance the agentive practices students use while reading.
