Savvas Essentials™: Foundational Reading is a K-2 supplemental curriculum targeting concepts of print, phonological awareness, phonics and the teaching of high-frequency words, and fluency. Aligned to the science of reading, teachers provide direct instruction, systematic modeling, and guide practice of the target skills. Students have frequent opportunities to practice skills both in print and digitally.
